| 2008-09 Confirmation Class A year-long process of studying the scriptures, structure of the United Methodist Church, and much, much more! Open to any school-age youth, the sessions meet with the pastor at 9:00am on Sundays during the school year. | NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION CLASSES: Joining the church is a big step in one's faith life and joining this congregation is too. To help you decide if this is the place for you, a three-week set of meetings has been arranged. Week 1: "United Methodist Church 101" Week 2: A tour of the church - getting to know the "lay of the land" and how we use the facility. Week 3: A discussion with the pastor and other church leaders about the beliefs of the United Methodist Church, the approach to ministry by First UMC in Sidney and more.
