and provide numerous opportunities for each person to grow in
faith together in this fellowship.

Children's Ministries
Children are a special gift in Sidney. We desire to see them all
grow into disciples of Jesus Christ. The following ministries are
some of the ways we help grow God's kids:
Festive pageants, Church school on Sundays (all ages), and much,
much more!
Youth Ministries
Our youth are challenged to grow in their faith and to become
disciples in every area of their lives.
A Junior High and a Senior High youth group provide
opportunities for students to learn how to be a part of a group of
believers and to learn how to be a leader in the church. All of
our youth who have been confirmed are expected to take an
active role in their faith and in their church. Among the
ministries in which the youth take part are: Chrysalis, Mission
trips, teaching younger children, confirmation classes, and much,
much more!
Women's Ministries
First UMC of Sidney continues to be blessed with women who
seek God's will in their lives. Women participate in every level
of leadership in the United Methodist Church and First UMC of
Sidney is no exception.
Ministries include: Women's Day of Prayer, three United
Methodist Women circle groups, The Walk to Emmaus and
knitting Prayer Shawls.
Men's Ministries
At the First UMC of Sidney, men come together to strengthen their
faith, build honest relationships, and serve God in all they do. We
believe that Christian men need each other and we seek to grow
together in faith in a variety of settings.
Our men take part in events such as: The Walk to Emmaus, The
Wesley Four choral group, the Son-rise Bible Study, golf outings,
pancake feeds, and much, much more!

Family Ministries
Ministries that involve the whole family include:
Care/Share meals (2nd & 4th Saturday each month),
knitting prayer shawls, Visitation ministry, Tech support,
clothing to Shiprock Mission (in NM), and much, much
